Objectives
Seven practical priorities shaping YPO delivery
The strategic objectives powering YPO’s work in Tanzania.
01
To equip youth with demand-driven digital & AI literacy, entrepreneurship, green and agribusiness skills, including agri-tech, crop farming, livestock, fish farming, and pasture production, to enhance their employability and self-reliance.
02
To facilitate access to part-time, entry-level, self-employment, internship, traineeship, and apprenticeship opportunities for youth by strengthening linkages with businesses, NGOs, government institutions, and the private sector across agriculture, digital services, environmental management, and creative industries.
03
To expand youth access to short, market-driven, certified courses through strategic partnerships with technical and vocational institutions, improving their competitiveness in the labor market.
04
To promote youth health and wellbeing by addressing mental health, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), and drug abuse through partnerships with health institutions and service providers.
05
To strengthen youth participation in civic engagement, policy development, decision-making processes, and land rights advocacy at local, national, and regional levels.
06
To design and implement innovative, youth-led solutions that address climate change and environmental degradation challenges.
07
To build youth capacity in life skills, leadership, business development services, and gender-transformative practices to enhance responsible, inclusive, and empowered communities.
